![]() Does not fit the radiator-mounted "towing package" reservoir. Does not fit the 4.6L, 5.4L, or 6.2L V8 engines. This kit fits the fender-mounted reservoir tank on 2011-16 Ford F-150 with 5.0L V8, 3.7L V6, or 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engines and 2015-17 Ford Expedition / Lincoln Navigator with the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost engine. The lawsuit alleges that the leaking of coolant into the cylinders. The 3.5 and the 2.7 (1st gen) are the only Ecoboost engines I trust at this point. THE 1.0L 3 cylinder Ecoboost is a shit box too. The 1.5L in the Fusion/Escape has finally turned into a recall now after a few years of short block replacement under TSB. Either the heads or the head gasket would have to had warp. In some cases the coolant was going into the adjacent cylinders (coolant intrusion). It accuses Ford of selling cars with cracked heads, seals not sealing, and catastrophic engine failures. Ford's 4 cylinder Ecoboost engines are all having issues. The block on the 2.0L ecoboost engine had a slot running between the cylinders for coolant. Installation usually takes less than 2 hours. A class-action lawsuit just filed says that the 1.5-liter, 1.6-liter, and 2.0-liter EcoBoost engines leak coolant into cylinders. Install the second large hose clamp on the reducing elbow above the clip slot. This clamp will create the liquid-tight seal. Install one large hose clamp on the reducing elbow below the clip slot. This is critical to prevent the hose from coming off under pressure. The hose should very nearly touch the reservoir body. Be sure to slide the hose far enough that you can position one of the large hose clamps above the clip slot. Slide the large end of the reducing elbow over the nipple on the coolant reservoir. ![]() Slide the small end of the reducing elbow onto the aluminum joiner, securing with one small hose clamp. Install the aluminum joiner in the lower hose and secure with one small hose clamp. Remove the stock clip-retained hose from the reservoir and from the lower hose. Our repair kit replaces the stock hose with a more reliable clamped connection.ġx RE9025.19-Black Silicone Elbow, 1" to 3/4" 90 Degree ReducerĢx 3613-1.25 Lined Hose Clamps for 3/4" EndĢx 3613-1.75 Lined Hose Clamps for 1" End ![]() Replace the leaky, unreliable quick-disconnect elbow on the bottom of your 2011-16 Ford F-150 coolant reservoir!
